Plastic Debris Chutes for Construction Sites in UAE

Plastic Debris Chutes for Construction Sites in UAE

Heavy-Duty Polyethylene Debris Chutes, Made in the UAE

Ozplast is a UAE manufacturer of plastic debris chutes (also known as rubbish chutes or construction waste chutes) for moving waste safely from upper floors to ground level. Each chute is rotationally moulded from UV-resistant polyethylene, so it is light enough to handle by hand yet tough enough for repeated use on busy sites.

The system is modular: a top hopper collects the waste, and chute sections connect one below the other to match any building height. Choose Standard (5 mm wall) for residential and general construction, or Heavy Duty (10 mm wall) for high-rise, commercial and industrial projects.

Both models are available from ready stock and are supplied across the UAE and GCC through our official distributor, Union Global Technical Equipment.

How Many Debris Chute Sections Do I Need?

Each chute section adds 1.07 m of working length, and the top hopper adds 1.05 m. To work out your requirement:

Chute sections = (drop height − 1.05 m) ÷ 1.07 m, rounded up, plus 1 hopper.
Drop height Hopper Chute sections
10 m (approx. 3 floors) 1 9
20 m (approx. 6 floors) 1 18
30 m (approx. 9 floors) 1 28
50 m (approx. 15 floors) 1 46

Standard vs Heavy Duty Plastic Debris Chutes

Both models share the same dimensions and connect the same way. The difference is wall thickness and strength. Use the guide below to pick the right one for your site.

Standard Model

Construction: Standard Polyethylene

Best For: Residential Construction

Wall Thickness: 5 mm

Weight Capacity: Medium Duty

Applications: General Construction Projects

Heavy Duty Model

Construction: Reinforced Polyethylene

Best For: High-rise & Industrial Projects

Wall Thickness: 10 mm

Weight Capacity: Heavy Duty

Applications: Large Commercial & Industrial Construction

Not sure which one you need? Choose Heavy Duty for buildings above [8–10 floors – confirm], or wherever concrete, blocks and heavy debris will be dropped regularly.

Applications

Ozplast debris chutes are used on high-rise towers, renovations, demolition and infrastructure projects across the UAE. They reduce manual handling, keep waste off scaffolding and stairwells, and help sites stay clean and compliant. For complete site safety, pair them with our plastic road barriers to cordon off the drop zone, and use portable power distribution boxes for temporary site power.

Debris Chute Installation

    1. Fix the hopper at the top loading floor. This is where workers tip the waste in.
    2. Connect the chute sections below the hopper, one into the next, down to ground level.

  1. Secure the chute run to the building at regular intervals using supporting frames / chains.
  2. Position a skip or bin directly under the outlet, and fence off the area at ground level.
  3. Inspect the connections daily and keep the chute clear of oversized items.

Sections are lightweight, so a small team can install a full run in a few hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are plastic debris chutes used for?

Plastic debris chutes provide a safe and controlled way to remove construction waste from upper floors, helping maintain a cleaner, safer, and more efficient worksite.

What material are Ozplast debris chutes made from?

Ozplast debris chutes are manufactured using high-quality UV-resistant polyethylene designed for long-term outdoor use and repeated handling.

What is the difference between Standard and Heavy Duty debris chutes?

The Heavy Duty model features thicker walls and is designed for higher load capacities and more demanding construction environments, while the Standard model is ideal for general residential and commercial building projects.

How many chute sections do I need for my building?

Each chute section adds 1.07 m of drop height and the hopper adds 1.05 m. For example, a 30 m drop needs 1 hopper and 28 chute sections. Send us your building height and we’ll confirm the exact quantity.

Can multiple chute sections be connected?

Yes. The modular design allows multiple chute sections to be securely connected, enabling efficient waste disposal from various building heights.

What is the maximum height a debris chute can be used for?

There is no fixed limit because the system is modular, but runs must be properly secured to the building at regular intervals. For tall buildings, we recommend the Heavy Duty model.

Do you supply hoppers and fixing accessories?

Yes, we supply top hoppers, frames and chains with every system.

Are your debris chutes in stock?

Yes. Standard and Heavy Duty debris chutes are held in ready stock in the UAE for fast supply. Contact us with your quantity for availability and price.

Are these suitable for UAE weather conditions?

Yes. The UV-resistant polyethylene construction is designed to withstand the harsh climate and high temperatures experienced throughout the UAE and GCC.

Do you supply debris chutes across the UAE?

Yes. Ozplast debris chutes are supplied to projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and all other emirates, as well as across the GCC, through our official distributor, Union Global Technical Equipment.
